didn't know where to ask this question, but someone in here may know the answer. i bought a boat at the end of 2005 and placed it in use beginning in 2006. the rig only cost $10,000. i need to know how to write this off on taxes. do i need to appreciate or can i deduct 5,000 this year on schedule c and 5,000 next year?
