Planning on heading to Conroe tomorrow to work on some new techniques. Anybody hear of any catching anywhere. I will be looking for black bass in the morning and maybe switch to Crappie in the mid day. Most likely heading to the northern reaches of the lake.

I am hoping to get into some of the less trafficked spots this time of year. So far looks like I will be going solo. Everybody is scared of winter fishing in my neighborhood....

This time of year they are on deep water brushpiles in 25-30 feet. That means main lake tight line fishing and with more than a 5-10 mph wind, that can be a chore.

The caviate to that pattern is if you go all the way up into the river channel near the stubblefield bridge. You could pick some up on the river banks around roots if you are experienced with navigating up there, if not, I'd not try it until all the seany bean trees deterierate and make the path clearer once you get up past big sandy creek.

Thanks for the heads up. I have marked a few spots that are supposed to be winter time producers. We will see. I am armed with a few hundred dollars of the latest in artificials plus a few of the oldie but goodies.

Hey John, You say the word and we'll get er done, dude. I will be solo tomorrow. Tried to convince the wife to go but she said she really wants to clean house.... What the _ _ _ _?!?!?!? I thought even women would love an excuse to not clean.... Oh well, I guess I will be in hot water when I get back. Wish me luck....

John, if you change your mind just give me a shout. 281-932-8615. Still have not decided what time I am going to leave. I guess I will hear what Bennie and Wayne have to say in the morning and see what develops.

Hey Brad,

Trust me if I was going fishing today I would of stayed at Rayburn for the rest of the weekend but I played the weather this time and came home. We definately need to hook up and do some fishing sometime.

Talk to you later and be careful if you head to Conroe.

They have some nasty rollers when the wind is blowing and they come from all directions.
