Several years ago, a buddy of mine was catching limits of crappie around Pine Island where the old river bed comes in close. Has anyone fished that lately or is that more of a summer time spot. Also, does anyone have any suggestions on where to fish Lake Livingston during the spring spawn? Haven't fished the lake since my brother died 15 years ago - about ready to give it a try again.
