Howdy Corey,
It all depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to just bash around the house with it, either truck will do and you may want to also consider the T-Maxx. If you want to race there is no substitute than to go to the tracks and see what other drivers are racing. That will almost always make up your mind for you. Another consideration is to check with your local hobby shops to see what kind of parts stock there is for the trucks that you are considering. This will also be a deal maker and go a long way in making up your mind. If this is your first truck, I would also suggest that you purchase the truck at your local hobby shop (LHS) and develop a relationship with them. This will not only keep them in business, allowing you to purchase parts that you break (and you will break some), but you'll get great advice and service.
No matter which truck you decide to purchase, don't lose sight of the fact that you're making this purchase to have fun and enjoy the hobby whether you're racing or bashing.

OOPS!
Didn't really intend to make you look like a newbie Corey, but the post I made was excellant advice I received from none other than Matt Francis at the Nats a few years back and is great advice for the newbie or an ol' fart like me that's been around a few years.

they are both great basking trucks. revo is alot easier to work on. in my opinion the parts on the revo are stronger.
